Winter Animal Art

For the past month we have been learning about different 'Winter' animals. For the most part, we focused our studies on Arctic animals, starting with Polar Bears.

As our Big Buddy class was learning about different Art techniques with oil pastel, they taught us how to draw (and shade) a penguin. Here are a few samples:

Together, here are both pieces of Art:

Learning about Gravity-- Egg Drop Experiment

Today we tested out our uncooked egg drop. We had a variety of shoe boxes, some decorated and many stuffed with all sorts of things-- cotton balls, bubble wrap, towels, etc.

Here are some photos of our experiment:

We opened our boxes...

Some eggs survived...

And some did not...

But either way, we still kept smiling (despite the brightness of that beautiful sun)!

Polar Bear Handprints

Today we made Polar Bear handprints!

First, we painted our palms white, then placed our hands on blue paper. Once it dryed, we used sharpie to draw its claws and face. Super simple but super cute!

Cinnamon Polar Bear Biscuits
